What’s In a Name Anyway? (part 1 & 2)

A PERSONAL Investigative Essay by John M Jones III, © 2010

There are two major political party’s and bunch of Liberal Media Mind Zombies, who can not even seem to get their names right. People can actually be misinformed when incorrect use of the language is propagated in their daily vernacular. So in an effort to clarify and to inform everyone let’s take a look at the problem.

The two major political party’s names are the REPUBLICAN AND THE DEMOCRAT PARTIES. The first is the Republican Party. A republic is a form of government in which the head of state is not a monarch and the people (or at least a part of its people) have an impact on its government. The word "republic" is Latin and is translated as "a public affair".(1) We can trace the word “Republic” as far back as Ancient Greece and Rome, and more recently Italy after the Renaissance.(1) The USA has sustained this for Republic for well over 200 years.

In the 1830’s a new political party was named and still exists today. It’s called the DEMOCRAT party, NOT the Democratic party. To call them Democratic is actually an insult to every American. To understand why I say this is to find the TRUE meaning of “Democracy.” I could not explain it better than below.

Is defined as government of the masses. Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of "direct" expression. Results in mobocracy or a government where the lower classes of a nation control public affairs without respect to law, precedents, or vested rights. Attitude toward property is communistic, meaning property rights are negated and ownership is by the people or state. In a true democracy the lower classes of a nation control public affairs without respect to law, precedents or vested rights. Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate based upon deliberation, passion, prejudice or impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences of the action. (2)

Now that we have a firm bearing the just what a republic is and what a democracy really are what is the next step. The founding of an organization is the cornerstone of their beliefs and actions. Let’s look and see the beginnings of the parties to see REALLY what they are all about. This is definitely an eye opener!

To be fair to both forms of governments have a form of representative government. However, it’s clear that one party clearly is in favor of our republic and one clearly is against it. The DEMOCRAT party has clearly demonstrated they what their intentions are and were even in the 1830’s.

Republicans-In keeping with the prevailing tendency toward political realignment, and as a direct result of the Kansas-Nebraska act, a new political party now came into being. Wilmot-proviso sentiment caused various diverse elements here and there to fuse into organizations which sometimes bore the awkward designation of "anti-Nebraska" parties, but which soon came to be known as the "Republican" party. There has been some dispute as to the exact time and place where the party was "born." Coalition movements of a similar sort were afoot in many parts of the country at about the same time, and such a dispute is of little importance. The name Republican was adopted at a mass meeting on July 6, 1854, at Jackson, Michigan; prior to this, however, while the repeal of the Missouri compromise was pending in Congress, a similar mass meeting at Ripon, Wisconsin, had resolved that in the event of such repeal old party organizations would be discarded and a new party would be built "on the sole issue of the non-extension of slavery." Elsewhere in the country local conventions followed suit; and by late summer of 1854 the new party movement was well under way. Made up of old-line Whigs, many of whom, such as Bates of Missouri and Browning of Illinois, preserved the Southern conservative tradition, together with radical anti-slavery men such as Sumner and Julian, Know-Nothings, and Free-Soil Democrats such as Trumbull and Chase, the new party combined many diverse ingredients; the force that cemented them (at the outset) was common opposition to the further extension of slavery in the territories.(3)

Democrats-It adopted its present name during the Presidency of Andrew Jackson in the 1830s. In the 1840s and '50s, the party was in conflict over extending slavery to the Western territories. Southern Democrats insisted on protecting slavery in all the territories while many Northern Democrats resisted. The party split over the slavery issue in 1860 at its Presidential convention in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Democratic Party identified itself as the "white man's party" and demonized the Republican Party as being "Negro dominated," even though whites were in control. Determined to re-capture the South, Southern Democrats "redeemed" state after state -- sometimes peacefully, other times by fraud and violence. By 1877, when Reconstruction was officially over, the Democratic Party controlled every Southern state. (4)

It’s clear, just by this limited text the REPUBLICAN and the DEMOCRAT party’s belief system. What boggles the mind is that Women and minorities of every kind who are constantly courted by or in the Democrat party fail to understand the history of the party. It WAS the republicans who pushed through civil rights bills from the 1860’s all the way up to the movements in the 1950’s and 60’s. Let’s look at a sample what of the Democrats did during this time.

In 1877 Democratic parties regained their power of the south and ended reconstruction. Blacks were kept from holding political offices, voting, and participating as equal members.-The south reinstated the racially discriminatory laws with two main goals. disenfranchisement and segregation. The KKK was founded in 1865 to 1866. They directed their violence towards black landowners, politicians, and community leaders. They also did this to people who supported Republicans or racial equalities. One of the main forms of violence was lynching. Between 1884 and the 1900 white mobs lynched more than 2,000 blacks in the South. They were also lynched for any violation of the southern code. They also burned them alive, shot them, or beat them to death.

-1914: Louisiana required separate entrances for blacks and whites.

-1915: Oklahoma segregated telephone booths.

-1920: Mississippi made it a crime to advocate or publish “arguments or suggestions in favor of social equalities or of interracial between whites and Negro’s”.

-Arkansas had segregation at racetracks.

-Texas prohibited integrated boxing matches.

-Kentucky required separate schools, and also that no textbook would be issued to a black would ever be reissued or redistributed, they also prohibited interracial marriage.

-Georgia barred black ministers from performing a marriage between white couples.

-New Orleans created segregated red light districts for white and blacks prostitutes.

The Jim Crow was a system of laws and customs that enforced racial segregation and discrimination throughout the United States, especially in the South, from the late 19th century through the 1960’s. (5)

Last but certainly not least, Birmingham, Ala., Public Safety Commissioner Bull Connor, who infamously unleashed dogs and fire hoses on civil rights protesters, was in fact--yes indeed--a member of both the Democratic National Committee and the Ku Klux Klan. (6) Want more information about the REAL Democrat Party? I found this site that tells you everything you want to know about them they DON’T want you to know. It exposes them for the hypocrites that they are. (End of Part 1)

******************************************************* (Part 2)

When you are a group ANY group the name, the founding of that group, and the actual documented behavior of the group ALL play an important role in how they are perceived (unless they fail to really tell their members or the public the true history of their party, Whoopsises!!!). Clearly the Republican party was formed to fight slavery in the territories. They couldn't fight in the established states because the Democrat party held strict control over the policy of slavery in the USA at the time leading up to the civil war.

The Democrats themselves fought over it (slavery) leading up to the civil war, but before then slavery was a policy that was wholly endorsed by the Democrats. Even after the Civil war. It's been clearly documented that Democrats did what ever they could to keep civil rights from becoming a reality. The fought against rights for minorities, women, and they are the ones who stood blocking entrances of schools to keep blacks from entering not Republicans. Yet it is the Democrats who consistently portray themselves as a champion for minorities, BUT it's their ACTIONS since 1830 that sing a different tune.

Whenever I hear the L.M.M.Z (Liberal Media Mind Zombies) and the Democrat Party call themselves Democratic I cringe, and give a sharp yelp, because of the meaning of what they are saying. Here's why this happens:

Democracy is:

A government of the masses (MOB RULE)

A government where the lower classes of a nation CONTROL public affairs without respect to law, precedents, or vested rights.

A government where attitude toward property is COMMUNISTIC, where property rights are negated and ownership is by the people or state.

A government where Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate based upon deliberation, passion, prejudice or impulse, WITHOUT RESTRAINT OR REGARD to consequences of the action. (1)

A Republic is:

A government where authority is derived through election by the people of public officials best fitted to represent them.

A government where Attitude toward law is the administration of justice in accord with fixed principles and established evidence, with a strict regard to consequences.

A government that avoids the dangerous extreme of either tyranny or mobocracy (SEE DEMOCRACY).

A government that results in statesmanship, liberty, reason, justice, contentment and progress in all areas of arts, science, thought and civil liberties.

A government that allows its people to live without unjust interference or control by the state.

So what does this have to do with me? The bottom line is not to rely on others for your information. If you want to be a Democrat, then Fine. But it's up to you to be aware of EXACTLY what a Democrat is PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE before putting your name on the dotted line on that registration form. The Party's past of hatred, intolerance, and deception will rub off on YOU!! For many Democrats it's already stuck to them.

Word of Wisdom: A fire hose would not wash off the slime and grime of ANY corrupt belief system.
