Voter Intimidation Comes In Many Forms!

When I think of voter intimidation (VI) I think of the post-civil war poll tax created by democrats and enforced for almost 100 years by democrats to deny the vote to blacks. I think of 2012 when members of the new black panther party members stood outside of a Philadelphia polling place brandishing weapons. I think this year in 2018 in georgia when multiple armed new black panther party members carrying stacey abrams political signs walking up and down the street brandishing high powered guns.
But did you know that the media & political parties intimidate voters all the time and much of the time THEY refuse to call it V.I. and it has been going on for years! Here’s just a few examples:
In 2008, jacob weisberg, Slate: "Racism is the only reason obama might lose."
In 2009, jimmy carter, MSNBC: "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man[.]"
In 2012, when uncle joe biden said about mitt romney and republicans that, “They're going to put you all back in chains” to a predominantly black political rally?
In 2012, harry reid blatantly lied to America by saying mitt romney hasn't paid taxes in 10 years.
In 2016, hillary grouped half of her opponent’s supporters into a "basket of deplorables!"
In 2017, hillary said she lost the election because sexist men and their women who were told by their fathers, husbands, and sons not to vote for her.
In 2018, howard dean says “Donald Trump is mentally ill.”
This month, vogue called put evil white women for voting for the all those hateful, sexist and racist republicans.
Last week, Hillary said that if the Georgia election was ’fair’ then the democrat would have already won.
This week nancy pelosi said that ANYONE especially male democrats who don’t vote for her for house speaker were sexist.
Yesterday, Kirsten powers a cnn talking head said that ALL trump supporters including ALL white women are all racists.
Oh, don’t forget that every two years one party calls the other ‘nazis, racists, bigots, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic, sexists, they want dirty air & water, hate poor people, and want to throw grandma off a cliff.’
These are just a few examples of how politicians, political parties, partisans and their news media partners intimidate US voters there are thousands more! When you by hook or crook use emotion, exaggeration, omission, lying, implying, or other means to convince a person to vote a certain way it IS voter intimidation, its WRONG! It’s the same as the new black panther party members walking around in their militant uniforms and high-powered guns. If you can’t win an election without the threat of violence, lying, voter fraud or intimidation you don't deserve the office in the first place!
