There is No Such Thing as the “Free Press”

Henry Adams, a descendant of TWO former U.S. Presidents, was once was quoted saying “The press is the hired agent of a monied system, and set up for no other purpose than to tell lies where their interests are involved. One can trust nobody and nothing.”

As an informed & educated voter in the 24/7 news world you can take that quote as the “gospel truth” when it comes to the ALL media, YES ALL MEDIA, in the United States. Nothing is EVER as it seems, everything is spun, and the truth is muddied while the real facts suffers.

That being said Fox News Sunday recently aired a heavily edited interview of POTUS. Chris Wallace and fox news used the editing process to spin President Trumps responses into a narrative THEY think the people wanted. It is the same for All networks. It’s the medias job to report the news not EDIT or CONTROL it.

So, whenever you see media interviews of any person whether it be POTUS or the man down the street if it’s not live you can be sure that the video has been edited in some way. Without the unedited raw video or unedited transcripts there is no way informed & educated voters to rely on it and thus it becomes equivalent to a work of art. It becomes ‘subject to interpretation’ which it total useless in politics! (JMJ – 11/19/2018)
